We are looking for pictures - Your pictures!

We are upgrading our website to include a photo gallery of our patron's special memories while dining at the Buckhorn Exchange and we need your help. (This gallery will be available mid-to-late July.)

Do you have a favorite photo of your dining experience at the Buckhorn Exchange? Was it a business meeting or anniversary? Perhaps a wedding party or just a night on the town?

It doesn't matter! We would be happy to showcase your favorite memory in our photo gallery - and for free!

So start digging through those digital images and find the one you like best. You can send it to us quickly and easily by using the following form. Just make sure you read the Rules and the Hints and Tips below.

 

Rules

Basically, here are the "rules" for having your photo included in our gallery:

  • Only one photo per family, business or organization only can be accepted. There is no charge to you for including your photo on our website and we won't pay you to use your photo.

  • You keep all the "rights" to your photo (they are yours, after all), but by submitting a photo to us, you agree to allow us to use that photo on our website and agree to these rules.

  • By submitting a photo to us, you are also stipulating that all individuals pictured in that photo agree to allow their images to be used on our website. In the event, one (or more) individuals object to their inclusion in a photo we post on our website, it will be removed upon receiving written notification. Email is acceptable, but must contain sufficient information about the photo in question so that we can locate and remove it.

  • We cannot accept photos sent through conventional email as file attachments. To submit your photo to us, you must use the form above.

  • Photos are used "as-is." If you wish to crop or modify them, please do so before you send your photo to us. Photos must be oriented properly when viewed on the screen (e.g. not "side ways").

  • We can only accept digital images in JPG format (the most common); sorry, we cannot scan printed images.

  • We reserve the right to choose from the images we receive and edit any supplied text for length and typos. Simply sending us a photo is no guarantee it will be used. We will try to accommodate as many submissions as we can, but (let's face it) space is limited.

  • We also reserve the right to add and remove images as necessary to maintain the quality of the gallery presentation. There is no minimum or maximum time an image may be shown in our gallery.

Hints and Tips

Here are some things to keep in mind to help us show your special moments more effectively:

  • You know who the people are in your photo - but no one else will unless you tell them! Be sure to include the following in your caption for the photo:

    • When (at least approximately) the photo was taken (we already know where)

    • What the occasion was

    • Who the main honorees are (for groups of more than about 5 people, trying to identify everyone just doesn't work...)
       

  • While we prefer horizontal photos, we will accept vertical ones as well. Preference is given to horizontally oriented photos.
